AI search that doesn't remember what you searched

Zeed Search is a sibling product from EFG Technologies, the makers of Zeed Browser: AI answers on top of raw results, Deep research, image search, and shareable answer links — with no database table that records who searched what.

Free for everyday use · no ads · no install · works in any browser

What's different

Built so there's nothing to look up — even for us.

No search-history table

There's no database table that records who searched what — not a log that gets anonymized later, just no place in the schema where it could be written. IP addresses aren't stored either; a hashed, unlinkable value is used only for free-tier rate limiting.

AI on top of real results

Raw results come from Serper or the Brave Search API. AI answers and Deep research send the query to Anthropic's Claude using Zeed's own API keys — never your account, IP, or cookies.

Runs in any browser, right now

No download, no extension — search.zeed.run works from whatever browser you're reading this in. The free tier covers everyday search and AI answers.

Already the default in Zeed Mobile

Zeed Search is the default search engine in Zeed Mobile (iPhone) — the same no-log design described here. Zeed Browser (desktop) is Chromium-based, so Zeed Search is one of the engines you can set in Settings → Search engine, same as adding any other provider in Chrome.

Also from EFG Technologies

Zeed Search — free for everyday use. Pro is ¥980/month, costs in the open.

Zeed Search is an AI search from the same company: AI answers on top of raw results, Deep research, image search, shareable answer links, and the Zeed Brief morning email. The free tier covers daily use; Pro lifts the limits.

Feature Free Pro ¥980/mo
Search (raw results) Unlimited Unlimited
AI answers (summaries) 10 / day Effectively unlimited*
Deep research 10 / month Effectively unlimited*
Image search 5 / day Effectively unlimited*
Share an answer (URL)
Zeed Brief (morning email) Preview issue Every morning

*Fair use, not infinity: past roughly 20 AI answers/day, 60 Deep researches/month, or 150 image searches/month, Pro requests may be temporarily slowed. We publish these numbers instead of promising “unlimited” and quietly degrading the product.

Quotas and fair-use thresholds may be adjusted without notice as we tune real costs.

Why isn’t it all free?

AI search has real per-use costs that we pay to model and search-API providers: one Deep research run costs us about ¥4 (¥2–9 depending on sources), one AI answer about ¥1, one Brief issue about ¥0.6. Free quotas are funded by Pro subscribers. ¥980/month covers a typical Pro user’s usage with margin left to keep building — that’s the whole business model, no ads, no data sales.

FAQ

Search questions, answered.

Do I need to install anything to use Zeed Search?

No. It runs at search.zeed.run in any browser — nothing to download, no extension to add.

Do you store what I search?

There's no database table that records who searched what, and IP addresses aren't stored — only a hashed, unlinkable value used briefly for free-tier rate limiting. The one exception: the free tier keeps your last 20 queries in server memory only (never written to disk, cleared on restart) to help disambiguate follow-up questions; Pro doesn't keep this at all.

How does the AI part work?

Raw results come from Serper or the Brave Search API. AI answers and Deep research send the query and result excerpts to Anthropic's Claude, using Zeed's own API keys — never your account, IP address, or cookies.

Is Zeed Search related to Zeed Browser?

Yes — both are built by EFG Technologies. Zeed Search is the default search engine in Zeed Mobile (iPhone); on Zeed Browser (desktop), a Chromium fork, it's one of the search engines you can set in Settings, the same way you'd add any provider in Chrome.
