Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-22
1. Scope
These terms govern use of the browser software Zeed Browser (the "Software") provided by EFG Technologies Inc. (the "Company"). Installing or using the Software constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. License
The Software is distributed under Mozilla Public License 2.0 ("MPL-2.0"). Source code is available on GitHub. Reproduction, modification, and redistribution are permitted within the license.
3. Agent autonomy and responsibility
The Software's Agent feature operates websites on your behalf based on your instructions. Note:
- Sensitive actions require explicit approval. Form submission, purchase, publishing, deletion, authentication, and payment all prompt for confirmation before executing. None complete silently.
- Agent is disabled in Private mode.
- Final decisions and responsibility rest with the user. Outcomes of Agent actions (incorrect orders, misdirected messages, accidental deletions) are considered user-authorized, and the Company is not liable for them.
- You must follow third-party site terms. Using Agent to bypass anti-scraping or anti-automation policies is your responsibility.
4. LLM and external APIs
The Software's AI features send requests directly to LLM providers through the OpenRouter API key you configure. The Company does not relay or retain this traffic. LLM usage fees are paid by you directly to the provider. The Company makes no warranty as to correctness or legality of LLM output.
5. Pricing (planned)
Today (Phase 1) the Software is distributed free. Planned tiers:
- Zeed Local (free) — BYO OpenRouter key, all local features, single-device use.
- Zeed Plus ($5/mo, planned) — adds multi-device sync, OS-level cron, email ingress, priority support.
- Zeed Pro ($10/mo, planned) — adds managed LLM, 3× cron execution budget, first-party Agent plugins.
Timing and pricing of paid tiers may change without notice.
6. Affiliate disclosure
In a future Phase 7, the Agent may append affiliate tags to URLs from Amazon, Rakuten, booking sites, etc. in user-visible search results. When it does, the Agent will surface the URL, and the user can disable the behavior in settings at any time. The Company consumes only anonymous aggregate click data — no personally identifiable information.
7. Prohibited uses
- Using the Software for illegal acts, harassment, or copyright infringement.
- Using Agent to systematically evade a third-party site's terms.
- Exploiting vulnerabilities for any purpose other than good-faith security research (responsible disclosure is welcome).
- Commercial use of the Company's brand or logo without permission.
8. Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for damages (data loss, lost opportunity, indirect damages) arising from use of the Software.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes arising from these terms or the Software are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions applicable to EU/UK users are unaffected.
10. Changes
The Company may revise these terms. Material changes are announced on the landing page and in GitHub release notes. Continued use of the Software after a revision constitutes acceptance of it.
